[quote name='Spanish_fan' date='Mar 6 2006, 03:09' post='1229620' And the ones who say that Maradona won medals with nobodies don't know much about the game in the eighties: Cirro Ferrara, Alemao, and Careca also played for Napoli, and even a young Zola. Argentina didn't have outstanding talents but they had a very solid team, and being a country that produces the best players in the world after Brazil even their lesser talents are good players. But people love to increase someone's reputation by bringing down other's. Agreed Ferrara, Careca etc were great players. What is being discussed is the task performed by two different players in two different eras for two different teams. Personally, i doubt Argentina would have won the world cup without Maradona, I still think that Brazil would have won it without Ronaldinho. I've never seen a player dominate a tournament in the way that he did the 86 finals. His influence on the Napoli side is different. He helped make good players great and turned a club that had won nothing into one of the dominant teams in Italy. Ronaldhino has helped reinvent Barcelona, but again personally, i thought David's contribution two season's ago was perhaps more important. Having said that, I'd go out of my way to watch both.
