Think Ekitike will be closer to £80-£85m, Newcastle had an offer of £70m turned down already. We could bring in north of £150m with the sales of Nunez, Diaz and Harvey so there's probably enough to get in a decent left-sided forward too. Mad.

I do think if we really wanted Ekitike we'd have made a move by now.

I do wonder if this is some 4d chess thing from Newcastle. Put a bid in for Ekitike so it forces us to make a move either for him or Isak. If we go for Isak and we can't get the deal done, it shows Ekitike that he wasn’t first choice and he is put off, so they end up with both. Or something

I'd be absolutely fine with that. Chiesa is a good footballer and can finish. I think a full pre-season might change things for him.

The issue seems to be the late timing of the offer of a blind trust/sale of shares from John Textor. Presume Girona had all their ducks in a row by the time they qualified. You'd hope CAS overturn it and call out UEFA for being officious little twerps. -
