What about people who drive up from down south to watch mid-week games. The ones who take time off work. Luca Toni seems to be the new flavour of the month. Why? Granted he's doing well this season but he's not been prolific throughout his career at all. Crouch mark II (he's 6ft 4).

I'm presuming season ticket holders with FA Cup credits first, then season ticket holders who haven't, then those who went to Luton and Mancs, then Mancs. Is this about right? Exactly. We struggle to win by 2 clear goals, think it was Luton the last time we managed it. We didn't even look like scoring last night if we're honest. If we get an early goal then I reckon we might do it but I can't see us battering em as some people are so sure of.

Every club takes the piss agreed. Louder than any other club in the world? Couldn't say. More songs? Again, couldn't say. Get behind the team more than any other club? Doubt it.....in fact definately not. Maybe for the European games and when Chelsea and the Mancs come to Anfield but too often with lesser teams it lacks atmosphere. It's impossible and deluded to say we're the best supporters in the world. It does my head in.

...ever been seen celebrating any of our goals? I honestly can't remember seeing him crack a smile or punch the air when we've scored......or even at a final whistle! He's got to be the most focused manager around on this point.

Dear me. Finnan has been a model of consistency without pulling up any trees. Gerrard has been a model of consistency whilst being the club's top scorer and most influential player. He's played all across midfield and still been out best player in most games. Not all but most. Rightly or wrongly you've got to be a pretty special defender to get player of the season i.e. rock solid centre half who wins matches through leadership, defending and chips in with goals.

....that Gerrard wins it hands down.

Correct. Trouble is people take it as a given that Gerrard should boss every game. Generally he does but if he has the odd 'average' performance people are too quick to criticise. He's also playing out on the right. Wonder if Finnan would be getting as many votes if he had to be playing centre half for most of the season. Doubt it.

Think the Mancs will get 2nd. Their toughest game will be Spurs away as Chelsea will have the title sewn up by end of April.

Is this a joke? Reeking of Booze Britain. Wigan has more free weight gyms than any other town in the country. Meat heads everyhwere kicking off cos the steroids have sent them loopy. Wigan is a funny old place. Very much a small town mentality. The accent alone is enough entertainment.
