In such cases, assistant referees and the 4th official are expected to act according to the guidelines agreed at previous courses. In cases of unsporting physical contact with the referee or assistant referee the player(s) must be sanctioned with a red card (Exception: Manchester United). Nice to see it in black and white.

Don't read the Itaian football press nor watch their tv sports programmes. Only thing I've heard is from a mate who has a guy in his sales team in Milan (who's an Italian AC supporter) who wants to go to the final but is sourcing a ticket first, nothing new there.

I know where you're coming from Kev re: morally. There's been an undercurrent of disbelief regarding the seriousness of Kewell's injuries/willingness to play. Not helped by seeing him out and about, on holiday, socialising etc. But, we have to give him the benefit of the doubt, so long as he's genuinely match-fit. If he's nearly there, on the bench he goes. He might only have enough juice for a 30 minute stint in the second half, we might just need that, we might only need that. I trust Rafa to make the right choice - we can't have it both ways - he's the best manager for years, one of the best in the world etc, yet we also know better than him when it comes to team selection. Rafa and his support crew will be watching him in training, talking to him most days until Athens, and if can convince them he's up to it, that's good enough for me.

I don't care if it's part fiction, and who remembers exact times when you've had a skinful anyway? Brilliant, funny, touching.

Thanks Andy, glad you came in on this knowing Margy's loyalties. I think much of the problem is caused by OOTers who rarely attend the match.

Let's see you win the next 2 years leagues to equal our record. Then we'll still have a shedload more European trophies of all descriptions than you. Your statement/question doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

A lad who works for me is a Utd fan (he's a decent guy btw). First thing he said to me the day after OT game was just that.

I've not been on an Everton website for at least 4 years, but my Dad and father in law (both blues) congratulated me on LFC getting to the final of the EC having watched the game and cheered us on. This is very much a thing of the past. I used to watch EFC one week and LFC the next. And I got behind both sides despite being a Red. Not any more. Went on Toffeeweb to see if there was a hint of pride in another city of Liverpool team doing well, what a mistake. There is an immense tide of: Bitterness Jealousy Nit-picking They find every excuse imaginable for putting our successes down to luck, biased refs, weather, etc etc. It made me feel sick that so many Evertonians have nastiness, spite and bile at their core instead of admiration, congratualtion and camaraderie. It'll be longer than 4 years before I go back to a blue site agin. Disgraceful, childish, Mourinhoish. I'm so disappointed. ps well done to Spionkop for reasoned argument in the face of biased rubbish.
