  1. To Carlos Bacca, that bloke from Admira Wacker, or even Konoplyanka
  2. You're right, but I'd like to see us testing the resolve of such players with a £150k p/w contract offer. At least give them something to consider....or turn down.
  3. I'd love Lacazette but he probably wouldn't come. Still wouldn't hurt to offer £30m odd and put £150k p/w in front of him, just to see what'd happen, like.
  4. 49 in 153, in all competitions while at Hoffenheim. 38 in 140, if we just count league games/goals.
  5. Still don't want Benteke. Signing class South Americans still won't make us a 'get it wide and lamp a million balls into the box' team. Plus I reckon we can do far far better if we're spending over £30m on a striker.
  6. His goal return is 1 in 3 for Hoffenheim across 5 seasons (153 games) and 4 goals in 9 games for Brazil. Sounds pretty good to me.
  7. @LFC_360: #Liverpool's deal for Roberto #Firmino will be completed within the next 24 hours. [sky Germany]
  8. Bad News Barret... @TonyBarretTimes: A deal for Firmino is not yet agreed. Elements of it are. Other issues still to be overcome but Liverpool have made significant headway.
  9. Firmino rejected advances from Man United, Roma, Porto and Dortmund before agreeing to sign for LFC. [sport1 Munich] Wow...that doesn't happen too often.
  10. I asked Neil Jones from the Echo about this, he said he'd never had info of such a release clause - I definitely read it somewhere but it must've been b*ll*cks I guess.
  11. It's not a huge amount to go on, but his record at Hoffenheim looks impressive. And also he's scored 4 in 9 games for Brazil.
  12. LFC Globe also say we've offered £14.5m +£2m in add-ons/clauses for Clyne but Southampton aren't happy with the payment structure - so we are still negotiating with them over it.
  13. From LFC Globe: "Dare I say, it's due to the transfer committee's role being diminished to negotiating first and foremost. Allows a quicker process in getting the player, rather than the 'majority vote' system that was in place before." More about the deal: If Firmino needs any assurances about his place in the squad. Rodgers has personally offered to do so. He wants a move to the Premier League, LFC are the club that have shown most intent so we'd imagine he is keen to join, although no info.
  14. Interesting part of the Sky Sports narrative which wasn't in what LFC Globe said - "He has given Liverpool a verbal undertaking that he will join in the next 24 hours"
  15. Just under £18m. It's his release clause €25m.
  16. Fee agreed verbally with Hoffenheim. We've spoken to his camp and offered a 5 year deal worth £90k per week, with a salary review after two years. Ayre & Gordon met with his advisors and offered those terms. Rodgers is ready to fly out to speak to him in person if needed and if the Brazil camp allow it. We're fully expecting him to accept those terms and just the medical will be left. This is from LFC Globe, who I've found to be extremely reliable in the past.

Pretty sure he gets some kind of loyalty bonus as he hasn't put in a written transfer request. What a p*ss take that is.
  18. This explains Ayre & Gordon being in Chile. Echo says we have a delegation there just generally watching players but have apparently met with Firmino's advisors. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/roberto-firmino-liverpool-fc-deal-9510722
  19. If we want Firmino/Clyne or whoever else, I don't get why we don't just send the bid in. I've never known a club seemingly arsing about when it comes to this kind of thing, like we seem to do.
  20. While you're not wrong, I'm not sure it matters - every man and his dog knows we are selling sterling for £50m.
  21. Knowing our luck, Sturridge would stay fit and someone would miss out, get unhappy and demand a move

You think we'd veto the sale if QPR refuse to negotiate on the percentage? I don't know what planet you're on but I'll consider it for my next holiday.

    Raheem Sterling

Why would they negotiate down on the terms they've already got? That's ridiculous. As for 20% of nothing - we aren't going to NOT sell him because of the 20% sell-on clause.

With 20% going to QPR, I'd tell them £60m.
