  1. 51 Spain caps too. Plus the following... 5 La Liga titles 3 Spanish Cups 4 Spanish Super Cups 3 Champions Leagues 2 UEFA Cups 2 World Club Cups 1 European Championship winners medal Oh....and a World Cup too. Not a bad haul.
  2. Nathaniel Edwin, I'll have you know
  3. I never would've guessed that Pedro had played over 300 games for Barcelona. The years are flying by aren't they?
  4. One thing that I do like about Bacca is he has a very good chance conversion rate.
  5. Clyne done apparently. I was talking generally.
  6. Theoretically though, he should know best which players are best suited to his system and philosophies. If he gets it wrong, he pays with his job and rightly so. Someone else choosing the signings sends the concept of accountability & the fact that, when the sh*t hits the fan, the manager invariably carries the can, into carnage.
  7. The concept that a manager picks a team from a squad of players he didn't actually choose though, just doesn't sit right with me.
  8. Sorry, what difference does she mean?
  9. I have no idea if this is true or not but Bacca strikes me as a snidey fecker as well, which I'd quite like to add more of to our side. He's probably a footballing version of Florence Nightingale, now I've said that.

    Raheem Sterling

Where's all this 'if he wants to stay' stuff coming from? He clearly wants out emphatically. Daily Mail saying City are about to come in with their latest 'final bid' for Sterling - £40m plus bonuses. I hope we reject it. It would turn out comical if they just walked away and left him with nowhere to go.
  11. Doesn't qualify for a work permit, apparently.
  12. As for Kovacic, the most reliable people (IMO) are saying we aren't in for him. I think Di Marzio has got this one wrong.
  13. Bacca, Rondon and Diego Rolan are three strikers we are looking at.
  14. Even his goal celebration is like Suarez If he does megs as well, I'll cry.
  15. You could've said the same about Suarez though, or Coutinho. Good players get sold a lot, loads of clubs buy them and it IS sometimes us.
  16. F*cking hell Cam, I can't deal with this much all in one go If it's Klopp, Firmino's going to get one hell of a shock when Rodgers turns up to meet him in Chile

    Raheem Sterling

Aye, but you've got to have it to use it properly.
  18. £29m for Firmino, £21m for Kovacic & £16m for Clyne. Once Sterling fecks off, that'll still only be a net spend of £26m (bearing in mind we'll actually only get £40m for him). Another striker at circa £15m-£20m? Around £45m net spend to get Firmino, Kovacic, Clyne and maybe Bacca. That'd be rather good. Plus whatever we can raise from binning off the gazillions of players we don't want. Likes of Balotelli, Borini, Lambert and whoever else.
  19. Bloody hell, you wait for one and.... DiMarzio: Once Firmino's done, Liverpool will next target Inter's Mateo Kovacic. LFC making concrete steps. Won't be put off by €30m price. Begs the question, why didn't we do this last summer when we had CL football to dangle in front of players? Insane.
  20. Swipe's 8. And very sensitive about it.

    Raheem Sterling

I'd really rather have the £50m, to be honest.
  22. For those interested, these are Vickery's comments on Firmino: Briefly on Firmino. Best bets is to ask German journos - he was unknown to nearly all in Brazil when first called up last November. Since then he's played 9 games for Brazil, 5 of them as a sub, scoring 4. I've been very impressed.Mobile and versatile, up top or dropping off, shoots well from range and can score poacher's goals, combines well. A shy lad - Brazilian media laughing at his press conference today when he answered 18 questions without saying anything. Has adapted well to Germany, clearly, so why not Liverpool? Bar higher now, though.
  23. Yep, he knows his onions. Unlike that prat Ed Maylon.
  24. One other thing re Firmino - he's got 9 caps for Brazil & scored 4 goals. But 5 of those 9 caps were coming on as a sub. So he has 4 goals in 4 starts for Brazil. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh yeah! Diggit!
