  1. That would be my preference. If it were Bajcetic, I'd hope it would only be a loan.
  2. Thin gossip day so far, so… No idea who the Spanish lad supposedly suggesting this is, so could be a case of "El Spoofo". On the subject of spoofen, here's a lad with "der Spoofer" vibes, but works for Sky Sports Germany, so y'know. Really? Hadn't heard anything about this.
  3. Looking at the stats now, his appearance record isn't great but not outright terrible (at least 30 appearances in all comps 2017-2023). He seems mostly to pick up a lot of small muscular injuries: https://www.transfermarkt.com/kingsley-coman/verletzungen/spieler/243714 Managed 21, 24 and 17 Bundesliga appearances in the last three seasons (34-game season).
  4. This seems like a good bit of future-proofing to me, a bit like Chelsea managed with Courtois and Cech – if that's how it works out. The player gets PL-hardened on another club's watch, retains his value and lies in wait for the day Alisson goes. If the deal does happen, it'll be interesting to see if it's down to Ali wanting to move on for whatever reason (Klopp going, new challenge, more money elsewhere) or if the stats nerds think we can get similar value for less money (Ali is currently the club's third-highest earner) and with fewer injuries. I always assumed we'd have the best of him until at least his mid-30s. He's 32 in October and his contract runs until 2027.
  5. Said similar once to a Bayern fan and she was adamant he's a really good player, just injured all the time.
  6. Can't decide which I dislike more: bad PhotoShops of players' heads onto linked teams' kits or AI-generated versions of the same thing.
  7. Think Klopp talked him up on the basis he was a teenager with an adult body, but nah, didn't look much of a player at any stage.
  8. Do you wanna just jump on that pyre with them witches, lad?
  9. Well, I already live in Berlin so I'd be looking for a next move.
  10. I'm honestly really curious to see how Brighton get on this season. The coach did a really good job at St. Pauli and they've signed a couple of interesting players. If Mitoma stays fit and Ferguson regains his form, we could see them bounce back up the table.
  11. I always thought if I were a professional footballer and couldn't play for Liverpool, I'd just engineer my career so I lived and worked in the nicest and most interesting places possible. Sure you'd still earn enough to live off even if you were playing in the J-League.
  12. I think Maresca could be a bit of a disaster for Chelsea. Nothing to back that, just a hunch. And the more Chelsea continue to look like a hire-and-fire basket case, the harder it becomes for them to hire serious coaches.
  13. It means "teeth" in Serbo-Croatian. Slightly worrying combination.
  14. PSG might yet become an option if they don't go for Rafa Leao and Kvaratskhelia remains a no-go in Napoli's eyes. They seem like the frontrunners for Osimhen, which will be expensive, but even if they get him to placate the fans after losing Mbappe, they will only really have Barcola as an option on the left.
  15. Think it'll be a combo of watching our games last season and what he saw in training. Shame, as I like Endo's pluck, but if he's not technical enough to play at the base of midfield for us in Slot's system, then there's little point in keeping him around.
  16. Would seem mad to let the real journalists report it if it's not already far along, despite what's being written. Unless Hughes is from the Schmadke school of paying release clauses and then kicking back with a cocktail. You'd assume not though. Athletic have published an article about the player with the headline "Liverpool target Martin Zubimendi is the Gen-Z Sergio Busquets". I could handle The Athletic's unnecessarily long, windy articles and lack of proper sub-editing, but calling anything the "Gen Z" whatever makes me want to break things.
  17. DESTINATION UNKNOWN ZUBI, ZUBI, ZUBI, ZUBIMENDI
  18. Schrödinger's Winger. We haven't seen him be better than Messi, but we haven't not seen him be better than Messi. Does that even make sense? Whatever, get in the box lad.
  19. I could read this info in one of two ways: Release clause needs to be paid in full if we can't negotiate, player needs to be convinced to leave Spain: If we get this lad in we've done well but now we've spent the bulk of our immediate budget on one player as we couldn't pay in instalments, any further players in is dependent on sales, don't be surprised if MZ is it for this summer. Player was convinced to leave Spain, we were able to negotiate around the release clause: Isn't Richard Hughes dreamy? Look at what he managed. Let's see what the rest of the summer brings.
  20. You suggesting he's not already in the loop? Hopefully. And one for Carvalho when Spurs buy him at 26.
  21. Not a DM though. Seems most adept at breaking forward into the box.
  22. We can put one of those plastic dummies between the sticks.
  23. Later in that Athletic transfer deal sheet thing it says "Liverpool are chasing a new No 6 from outside the Premier League", so I guess that rules out someone like Gomes (Joao) at Wolves, although he's not really a specialised No6 anyway. It also says the other Gomez (Joe) has other suitors beyond Newcastle, although we're "not actively looking to sell", which I guess means we'll sell if someone offers loads of money.
  24. If he just blurts stuff out when he hears it, Romano-style, he won't get anything out of Liverpool again. He's a journalist, not a transfer influencer.
