Agree, I honestly dont see any point in spending any transfer money at all on the defence. We need to score goals, we need to create better goalscoring changes and we need to finish the chances we get better. We could replace Adam, Downing, Aurelio, Kuyt for almost free: Keita, Holiett, Robinson, Sterling I reckon with might get around £12m for Downing and Adam as a conservative estimate, put that towards a striker. Piece of Pish.

At the moment our best midfield three is: Lucas - Henderson Gerrard Shelvey could come in to take up either the Hendo or Gerrard roles and Gerrard could cover Lucas. Adam and Spearing ideally wouldnt be in the squad. I'd agree we need two players here, one top one and one of Elm's ilk. Crazy, crazy, crazy comment - Mourinho and Rafa seemed to rate him and didnt do too badly with him in their teams.

So was Jelavic in the winter... I'd agree there is no Hazard, Martinez, Munian or Cavani in there, at least they are better than Adam or Downing. If we could pull a big one or two off then super, not seeing it as yet.
