I cant help thinking if we had BOUGHT A f***ING STRIKER on the last day of the transfer window all of these problems would seem much less of a big deal. Pathetic really. Only one way they can rectify this and that is to pull some money out of their a*** pocket in January and buy us a Llorente or someone of that ilk and I really do mean that ilk, not your Daniel Sturridges etc. Even then what our season could have been could be long gone.

It is definitely worry that a list of 'LFC's worst ever signings' is basically a list of players from the last five years (Diouf aside): Aquilani Cole Downing Keane Jovanovic Carroll (has to be included in this for the fee and the loan) All absolute shockers in there own right. Our now 6th choice midfielder also cost between £16m - £20m depending on who you believe, although I actually think he is a decent enough player. I think Brendan will 100% improve on this, but then it wouldn't be too difficult I guess...

He should either be pushed up with or alongside (left or right of) Suarez, we have better ball players than him for the middle, I'm looking at you Joe and Nuri. I'd be tempted to go completely nuts with this one and go for: Allen - Sahin Shelvey Gerrard - Yesil - Suarez

I never though Knowsley existed, I thought it was just a sign on the motorway that said 'Welcome to Knowsley', followed very shortly after by a sign saying "Welcome to Liverpool". Think the team picks itself at the moment. Wisdom hasn't done himself an harm, although he does get forward as much as Kelly did so I guess the only debate to be had would be to put Robinson left back with Johnson back at right back. I'd expect Assaidi to be pushing Suso for a starting spot soon too.

Thats isnt what Guardiola and del Bosque think and they never won anything...

We now have six excellent centre midfields at the club, but we are clearly missing Lucas who is our only true defensive midfielder and I think this has shown in the goals we are conceeding. Joe Allen has been the stand out since coming in and Sahin has started to show what he can do too, then there is Shelvey who is turning out to be our main goal threat from midfield. Stevie has been good in some games and not so in others, especially on Saturday and I have never been convinced about him playing as part of the central two. Henderson has been steady when he has played lately too, but is clearly sixth choice. When Lucas is back, I think it is safe to assume he is a shoe-in to start, with this, what do people think our first choice midfield will be? I think no matter what options we have both Lucas and Allen are dead certs to start and it could be any of these: Lucas - Allen Gerrard or Lucas - Allen Shelvey or Lucas - Sahin Allen I'd actually go with the last one and try Stevie as the wide right attacker we know he has goals in him and he was excellent there a few seasons ago, convincing him that is where he is going to be used wouldn't be easy though. I think with a three of Lucas, Allen and Sahin we'd very, very rarely give the ball away like Stevie did on Sunday and would be able to dominate possession even further with both Sahin and Allen given the chance to push on when they can to help out the attack knowing that Lucas is there to protect. Thoughts?
