Did anyone notice last night that after Alonso's shot towards the end, there was only one player running in on goal to pick up a rebound (which there was, albeit a small one). That was of course Robbie Fowler. Everyone else, Morientes included, just watched the flight and stood still. We should aggressively hound goalkeepers when we shoot from distance. Other teams do it to us - just look at the number of goals that get scored against us from keeper spills. I was particularly not impressed by Morientes not even moving from the spot when that happened. he's supposed to be a poacher. What has happened to him?
Current liabilities is largely made up of: Bank loans & o/d £11.9m - These will be rolled as core debt of LFC and is irrelevant to actual cashflow in the year - cashflow impact is interest only Trade creditors - £19m - largely offset by £16m trade debtors Tax - £6m - tax bill cashflow impact over the following year Finance leases - £4.5m - see loans & o/d other creditors - £7m - could be anything - there may be offsetting debtors, but prudent accounting may mean these are not shown in the accounts Deferred income - £19m - This is the biggest sqing number. Deferred income is where we have received payment but not provided the services yet. Whatever services are to be provided are likely to bevalued in the Fixed assets/current assets art of the balance sheet, or not at all As far as I'm concerned that isn't in any way a bad position to be in. LFC could easily raise another £100m to go out and buy players and the club would still be viable. The simple fact of the matter is that we don't want to run the club like that and we have to think of the new stadium. The current debtors/creditors balance s not a valid way to assess our potential liquidity.
One of the biggest problems with bringing back Robbie was that when I saw that he wasn't on the teamsheet, I immediately thought: 'Where ther hell is fcucking Robbie, bloody Houllier, dropping him for schite like that rant rant rant' Then my head cleared and I realised I was being slightly unfair....
To be honest its the dullest of dull annual reports. There really is nothing to see here. One of the most interesting points is the £10m increase in debtors. It doesn't state what this is but I suspect its CL related payments that we hadn't yet received (and anything due from Reebok). Debt up a touch but this is primarily due to the debtors and increase capex on players of c. £10m resulting in slightly higher negative cashflow. So by my read, the cashflow/debt benefits will be seen in the 06 annual report, whilst we see the nice big kick up in T/O and profits this year.

Had he not been rushing across the goal to stop it going in the corner, which it obviously wasn't going to do because Xabi was in the way, he should have held his position in the centre of the goal leaving him able to deal with what Xabi does better. I think that in this case the ball would have been near enough for him to stop. As I said, they both cocked up.
Note that the time of his post was during the first half, so I would suggest that commenting on Moro's second half performance at that time might be a wee bit much to ask for.
To be absolutely fair though, he really hasn't been tested, eh He doesn't have to make that many saves in any particular game so its difficult to judge how he'd stack up playing for a WBA or such. He does look shaky on crosses with the occasional charge and flap and his punching hasn't been as good as at the beginning of the season. His shot stopping and reflexes look to be great though. The save vs Heskey was good although it was close to him so I would have hoped that he'd get it - his positioning was the best thing about that save. I have to say that in general he seems similar to Dudek. Struggles with crosses but great reflexes and great shot stopping. Lets just hope he doesn't have the Dude's confidence issues.
