good point - it might just come down to a decision to choose between Moro & Robbie... & in that case, i'd go w/ Robbie.

i don't understand why people are writing Morientes off after just one season here... we all know he's a class striker who has the ability to produce goals & link up play as he's done @ Madrid, Monaco, & Spain... people were writing off Pires, Henry, & others in the same way in their first season... maybe Morientes just needs some more time (i.e. more than one year) to adjust to the pace & rigor of the English game just as the others did...

nonetheless, w/ solid efforts like yesterday, he can give us some good "possibilities".

very nice points... Warnock's certainly got ability (imo, consistancy's the real concern: can he bring his game to every match?) & he also has that much-needed mental toughness (the "never say die" attitude)... if anyone, i believe he can do a Carra!!

well-said... ideally, the rich-angel hybrid option would be a great road to take... but in a real world setting, some calculated risks will be required in order for the club to continue competing @ a high football & business level.

its no wonder why Djibril was hyped up so much... & why we paid 14mil for him... seemed justified @ the time... really though, we need to play him upfront w/ Fowler (for a good stretch of games) & NOT out on the right if we stand any chance of seeing the Auxerre Cisse emulated.

i totally agree w/ you there... a class right-winger (Joaquin or SWP) & a striker... somewhat uncertain of what type of striker as i think we may need an effective 2nd striker, an Aimar-type, who will run @ defenders w/ pace & trickery... but we need a solid finisher as well, although we do have Robbie now (hopefully he brings back his old magic)... we simply aren't taking our chances... also, Kewell should be playing on the left-wing as he's been really effective there this season, while Riise needs to play @ left-back (they were actually forming an amicable partnership down the left-hand side)... Warnock just seems to be getting caught in possession too often... still has some positioning issues to sort out, imo.
