  1. argh, we kep trying to be clever... only to give possession away. FFS, keep it simple lads! Crouch getting ready to come on, YES!!
  2. seriously! SG almost on target from distance.
  3. wow, we are shocking in the final third... play breaking down & simply running out of ideas! Kewell coming on! YES! just need Crouch on now.
  4. Yousi, c'mon dude
  5. i haven't been this nervous since the CL final in Athens! c'mon Liverpool!!
  6. some great one touch football on display
  7. GOOOOOOOAL TORRES!!! and the crowd goes wild(er)!
  8. AMEN TO THAT! LOL, pure class! correction. it went like this: "As always I am focused on training and coaching my team."
  9. the fear of losing the best thing to happen to LFC in a long time (Rafa) just terrifies me. i think the knock-on effect of Rafa leaving would be enormous. team confidence, supporter discontent, uncertain direction of the club, etc... plus so many clubs are tracking some of our key players (Reina, Alonso, Mascherano, etc) & ready to swoop in if instability looms. to an extent, winning will help ease the worries. but i wonder if its now just a matter of time before the owners find a feasible enough reason to excuse Rafa for good. everyday mate.
  10. that's the line-up i'm hoping for. Anfield will be rocking this Wednesday. we need a big win for Rafa!
  11. a better option than Heinze too
  12. 2 matches away from greatness?
  13. sh*t, i need to go get drunk again.
  14. hopefully Parry can put it in perspective (?)
  15. sorted. sign em up Rafa!!
  16. OMG! Rafa, we love you man! you are our gaffa! i can't even become to fathom how life would be like without Rafa on the sidelines shouting out instructions & doing his imaginary wand routine just imagine Moronho in his place?! it'd be a complete nightmare... i'm gonna go puke now. hopefully, the aforementioned is just unfounded & speculative drivel.
  17. no, you haven't answered much at all. rather, you've been hovering around in circles! so now we were "unlucky" not to have scored more, aye? i could have sworn you said it was all Momo & Kuyt's fault! from the get-go, you have resorted to name-calling & going on the offensive. fair enough, that's your prerogative. i have already made my points in as civil a manner as possible. thank you for placing me on your ignore list. at your current rate, most of the posters on this board will likely suffer the same fate!
  18. that would be a very good idea as it'll keep Kewell motivated & on his toes. was wondering the same. he looked better combining w/ Arbeloa on the left flank. noticed Gerrard drifting to the left fairly often too & playing lots of crosses & through balls. the team really put the onus on the opposition today which was good to see. solid attacking & defending as a unit.
  19. seriously mate, what are you going on about? you said Momo & Kuyt were "dreadful" & we didn't win by more BECAUSE OF THEM - both claims which i highly disagree with. how exactly was it Momo & Kuyt's fault for us not scoring more? Momo did well in running after the opposition & breaking up play while Kuyt scored the decisive goal after the break despite Torres missed a countless number of chances. if you can't get that through your head, then tough luck. we'll just have to agree to disagree.
  20. spot on! he was a rock at the back. although i was able to breathe a deep sigh of relief after Martins failed to run at or get in a one on one situation w/ Sami.
  21. genius. pin the blame Momo & Kuyt for not running up the score. after all, they were the ones missing chance after chance, right?
  22. if you're going w/ the "Newcastle are dreadful" defense, then you might as well write off all our players performances on the day! i'm not saying Momo was passing Newcastle off the park or anything... after all, he did concede possession fairly often in the first half... but he came out strong in the second half & did exactly what Rafa put him in there to do in the first place: stifle & frustrate the opposition w/ his industrious tackling.
  23. b/c Momo applied continuous pressure & won the ball right off them each time Newcastle had possession.
  24. 1. Gerrard - best performance the captain has put in so far this season 2. Lucas - kept things tidy & organized in midfield. very Xabi-esque 3. Babel - fantastic even though he only played the 2nd half honorable mentions: - Momo - slow start but was a tackling force once he settled in - Kewell - pure quality when he's fit & healthy like today - Torres - squandered too many chances
  25. "the best midfield in the world" being sang. any chance of getting LUCAS in there?!
