  1. second half, he was one of our best players. first half he was wayward with some passes and finnan. Although Agger for MOM for me
  2. he was sensational against in the match before today. is that soon enough for you?
  3. MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!
  4. rafa said they will be here for the arsenal match. and for all those posting pictures of managers. PACK IT IN!! IT ISNT f***ING FUNNY!!!!!!!
  5. of course, thats all we have planning permission for. expect an additional application for expansion in the forthcoming months. sorry for being slightly misleading. I have no inside info, apart from knowing the odd people who have contacts due to my profession. nothing concrete at all. however it makes perfect sense, and its the only feasible way round things. plus parry has eluded to it already
  6. lets say say there were huge plasma screens inside the stands, and lets say you could get a decent pint, served quickly with a large variety of drinks, and lets say you could a get a decent bite to eat as well. I could see myself staying behind after the match to watch whatever live match was on sky. could anyone else or would everybody leg it back to there cars with 15 mins to go, as some people do now?
  7. bascombe was suggesting that it could all be politics, but the bottom line is we dont know. if he did leave it would be devestating for us. it could set us back years if we couldnt replace him. i beleive that if he gets the assurances on the 31st together with the comitment that he is looking for in future, then he will still be our manager.
  8. yep!!!!!! "earlier this week wellplaced sources were putting the odds at 50/50 he'll go" its in the pink echo
  9. brascombe in the pink echo reckons its 50/50.
  10. my view is that hilsborough would have occurred whether it was standing or sitting. it was caused by : 1)an inability to control a normal football crowd, 2) failing to ensure that areas of a stand didnt become overcrowded, 3) once it was overcrowded failing to react 4) then supporters being unable to leave the stand once it was overcrowded. there where other issues that contributed towards the tragedy, (such as failing to allow medical attention on to the pitch) but the list above were the causes. if you remove any one of the list above, then it would not have occurred. its my opinion that it could have occurred whether or not it was standing or seated. However one of the main failings on the day was an inablity to recognise the area had become to packed. If it were a seated area this would be easier to recognise and contingency plans could have been introduced. but this is the only area were a seated stadia could have influenced what had occurred. And yes, for this reason Hillsborough "may" not have occurred if it were seated, even with all the other failings that contributed towards the cause. As for whether Anfield should have a standing area, then I'm torn. Some of the happiest days of my life have been on the old Spion Kop. But, i respect the wishes of the families. If they as a group, are against it, then I would not back the idea purely out of respect to them. If they discussed and agreed with my opinion regarding the causes, and said they had no objections to Anfield having a standing area then i would be in favour.
  11. my understanding is that the club are redesigning the stadium so that they can build 61 now, and they increase it easily once a further planning app has been granted. With the application being made whilst the 61 is being built.
  12. i wasnt there. i was 2. but the two games in our history that i would love to have been to more than any others are this one and the Inter game. That clip is f***ing unbelievable!!! Chelsea in the semi is the greatest that i have ever been involved in. for those that were there, how did the two compare?
  13. its over half a million now and growing. It has a bigger population that manchester, so i read
  14. and the echo http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0100new...-name_page.html fair enough. but its a good chance for the club to defuse the row, which is very inflamatory
  15. according to the radio it seems to be causing a big fuss
  16. i didnt think about it that way, there are plent of better venues in england should there ever by a champ final in england.
  17. when there was the s*** throwing incident at anfield last year, i believe our club wrote to the manu fans and apologised. could yo email me the link (dont post it on here) and i will send it to manu and see what happens. My email is chris@kopite.wanadoo.co.uk. although i'm at work now so i wont get it until i go home. cheers mate.
  18. i never heard it, but i assume it wasnt malicious?
  19. is it? i cant bring myself to watch it to be honest. i wonder if it is notifying manu about it? do you think they would do something?
  20. just heard kenyon on the radio saying how great the semi will be. Hang on ugly f***, you the quaters to get through first. And they wonder why they are hated. Rafa talks about how psv will be hard, and kenyon is talking about winning the semi.
  21. apparently some manc has produced a clip of Hillsborough glorifying in there deaths. So i have just heard on radio city. Anyone seen it? some blue in work said it was on blue kipper the other day.
  22. thats f***ing disgraceful reporting by the echo that. i am speechless. Although its everything i have come to expect by the small club.
