  1. re. Tevez Magnusson has just said: "I would like to reiterate that Carlos Tevez is a registered West Ham player with a playing contract that still has three years remaining on it and that situation remains unchanged." Didn't realise he was on a three year contract at West Ham.

Found this earlier on Teamtalk Luis Garcia admitted the lure of returning to Atletico Madrid was too strong to resist after rejoining his former club from Liverpool. Garcia, who spent the 2002-2003 season at the Vicente Calderon, signed a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee with the Primera Liga side. While conceding it was hard to leave Anfield, the Spain international revealed he could not turn down a move home. He said: "It was a personal decision. "Liverpool are one of the best clubs in the world. I spent three great years at Liverpool but it was time to consider my future. "I could have stayed or I could return to Spain. I have made a decision which I believe is the right one. "I simply couldn't reject the offer when given the opportunity to return to Atletico. "Liverpool has been very important in my career and I will never forget my time there. "Their fans are amazing, they supported me since my arrival, in good and bad times. I tried to do the best I could to repay their trust but nothing I can do can ever repay their unconditional support." The 29-year-old is one of five acquisitions made by Atletico this summer along with Diego Forlan, Christian Abbiati, Raul Garcia and Cleber Santana. An he believes the capital outfit, who finished seventh in the 2006-07 season, will be a force to be reckoned with next term. "I aim for titles next season," he said. "We have a great team and I think if the team continues to work in the same manner as they did last season, I see no reason why we cannot take the club to the position where it belongs."
  3. As frustrating as Garcia could be it will be sad to see him go. Had a knack of scoring important goals.
  4. Depends, personally I'm not sure about Torres, as you've said yourself both Kuyt and Crouch can score goals. Our problem last season was not creating enough - Tevez and a new left winger would certainly address that issue. Take Arsenal team of 98, they only had one winger but we able to carve teams up. Overmars--Vieira--Petit--Parlour Bergkamp--Anelka
  5. Exactly. Get Tevez at all costs, we can't afford to miss out on this talent if the opportunity arises.

    New Stadium

He should realise that these things are always subject to the usual factors ect ect
  8. Nobbly knees can't stop striker from getting in 'round the rear.
  9. I would do cartwheels if we signed Tevez, he'd take our attacking play to another level.
  10. Seems most people would be happy with Torres but I have serious doubts especially at £20+ million. I realise he's still young and could improve - but he's not prolific in Spain so I'd be surprised if he fared any better in the premiership. Take Forlan, Morientes and Kanoute for example, each score plenty in La Liga but found it much harder in England.
  11. Saying Pederson is better than what we've got is a debate in itself - the most important thing for me is if he is as good as what Man U, Chelsea have?

Apparently, it's only the second day trip that's been cancelled.

    Irish lads

Just got a phone call from Abbey Travel to say their day trips have been cancelled. Apparently they couldn't get the flight times. Anyone else get any news?
  14. I believe that Pele knows nothing about football. He has done nothing as a coach and all his analysis always turn out to be wrong. If you want to win a title, you have to listen to Pele and then do the opposite. Luiz Felipe Scolari
  15. I wouldn't be so blase about him going tbh. Hasn't had a great season by his standards but he still has a huge impact on how we play.
  16. Please make the Alonso speculation disappear, be gutted if he goes. Can't we have one peaceful summer where none of our top players are linked with a move.
  17. Bloody jinxed it

  20. There's always one.... The whole post was a piss take, hence the wink.
  21. Poor bugger has no chance then. lol
  22. Looked good today but does he deserve a place in the team for the final? He's a bit like those fans who haven't attended a match all season and yet all of a sudden they're going to the final at the expense of regular match goers
  23. Of course he knows us, he's been in our homes.
