The way the press were banging on about Lampard this morning you'd swear he was Maradona and Pele rolled into one. I thought he went missing for long periods of the game last night and, in the second half, I counted three or four terrible passes from him that put Chelsea in all sorts of difficulties. He is hugely overrated.

It was a bad goal to give away, especially with the ball coming in straight like that. It was something our defenders should have dealt with. These things happen though and hopefully we will t*** them in the second leg.

Fair enough, but my point was if the Irish manager is going to exploit this "granny rule", surely he should look for players that are better than he already has. Lawrence does not fit into that category in my opinion.

A blood sub could be allowed up until the manager has used his three permanent replacements. After that no one is allowed on.
