  3. You could try replacing the s's in his name with dollar signs. People seem keen on that.

  5. There was one Biscan and one Traore. And we weren't anywhere near as skint as we are now.
  6. Yeah, that's probably it.

  8. It's difficult to know what's going on behind closed doors. Having said that, I suspect that if they had enough money from selling their other teams they would've sent Purslow packing a long time ago.
  9. You've inferred something that isn't there. I disagreed with your assumption that that this would be a leveraged investment. It won't be. Nor will it be solely for the benefit of Liverpool Football Club. There's a middle ground where some of our profits go on players and some go on debts. Rhone obviously think there is a happy medium that will bring their investors profits that are worth the initial risk.
  10. Can't see this happening. RBS are forcing this £100m sale because they don't think we can afford to keep up repayments on £237m of debt much longer. They will not allow this £100m to be secured against the club.
  11. It's not "evidence", it's just more well-presented but half-baked theories. If it is an LBO then we should be worried, because we'll have to pay interest on the £100m. If it's an equity share then things aren't quite so bad: they'll only make a significant return by making us relatively successful. I can't see how five-to-seven years of asset stripping is going to leave them with much to sell on.
  12. Do you know what a leveraged buyout is? Because mentioning twice in one post that they are specialists in this form of takeover certainly implies that you think are going to put the £100m on the club.
  13. You heavily implied that this new company would be leveraging £100m against the club. This as well.

I'm confused. Is it impractical for OOTs to help or are they the only people that can save the club?

Well you're an individual and you seem to have a clear vision. Let's get moving! I will donate £100 for any half-decent idea you can get off the ground. And I'll donate another £100 to the HJC. If you get off your a*** and do something, rather than griping about other people's efforts.

They were born out of frustration at the owners, but they are quite right to look after the interest of supporters. There's no-one else doing it. They went to Ireland to try to attract more people. The predictable response was "who's paying for them to go over there?" There was also a resolution passed at the AGM that allows regional branches of the SoS and internet voting.

Serious question. What is it about SoS that makes you feel they have a parochial outlook? I'm an OOT and I don't see it. Surely it can't be because they run coaches to away matches and try to forge stronger community links - these are common to every supporters association/trust.

I agree, but this particular idea was aimed at a certain sort of fan though. The recent vote at the AGM to allow regional branches and internet voting show that they are not anti-OOT.

I'm aware of the criticisms. I just think that people should have a think before they point out how much better they could do. As far as I can tell, SoS are the only ones doing anything more than pontificating behind their keyboards.

The reason for running a billboard campaign in Liverpool is not parochialism, it's to attract match-going fans to the cause. Until they're on-board, protests in the ground won't attract enough attention. This idea of wearing all black/white/gold on the Kop won't acheive much publicity if it's only the lads in 306 who are willing to give it a go.

The billboard idea has the virtue of being implemented.

Crack on and do it then. I'll even give you a tenner to help you along the way.
