    Paletta

I was well impressed by both Insua and Paletta yesterday. They both made the occasional error, but overall made a very good impression. Both of them passed the ball really well. An away match against a side battling like bulls for survival is not an easy task. Good prospects!
  3. Did you see the pass he made for Riise early in the first half? Amazing! (counter attack, riise crossed)
  4. He was great as Stamford Bridge IMO. We seem to struggle without his passing... Hopefully Mascherano can be the key here.
  5. Have to admit that I am shocked about Alonso....
  6. I`m not a regular at Anfield, but those who goes to matches often should really make a song for Montse Benitez. Imagine her name being sung all around Anfield...haha. Would be hilarious.
  7. Excellent half from the Kop and mr Pennant. Fowler looks like he wants to sleep. The end for him?

    David Villa

Regarding Leto. Norwegian scout Tor K Karlsen (works for Bayern Leverkusen) recently wrote a piece about him in his webblog. Can`t be bothered translating the whole thing unless someone is really interested, but he really seems like an exciting player. In short: Can play both as a classic leftwinger or more centrally as a playmaker. Described as sensational on youth-level and one of the most technically gifted young argentinian players. His main problem has been his constant driblling and a failure to be a teamplayer, but he`s been working hard the last 18 months to improve on this. Also, he is not among the strongest players physically. The conclusion from the writer is that he thinks the player is really exciting and if he is succesful in gaining some more physical power and turning his talent into steady performances could turn out to be a real favourite at Anfield. http://karlsen.nettblogg.no/110107083240_sebastian_leto.html

    Debt

That debt will decrease as the season runs along. the £80 mill was probably correct at the start of the season. The supporters pay their season tickets in august, but the delivery of "the product" (the home games) will happen from August - May. Therefore the club will have a decreasing debt all the way to May when the customers have got what they paid for.
  10. Liverpool.no says it`s a done deal according to Skysports....
  11. http://newsbbccouk.robert-mccreary.com/spo...tle/6216509.htm Magpies agree shock Crouch transfer Crouch has cost clubs £32.56m in transfer fees Newcastle have revealed they have agreed a record 17m fee with Liverpool for England's 26-year-old Peter Crouch. Reports have previously suggested Benitez would sell Crouch to Newcastle. But this transfer will surely come as a shock to many Liverpool fans who are losing their top goalscorer with 13 goals this campaign. Rafa Benitez so far has refused to be drawn on whether he has a replacement lined up. "We will do our best, always, but there is not a lot of time left." Rafa added: "He (Crouch) is a fantastic player and has done very well for us. And we must thank him for this. Newcastle are getting a very, very good player." Newcastle are expected to unveil record signing Peter Crouch this afternoon as their sole big-name signing of this transfer window. Interview: Newcastle Chairman Freddy Shepherd Newcastle Chairman Freddy Shepherd confirmed they made an offer for to Liverpool at the start of the week. He said: "This morning Newcastle United have reached the principles of an agreement on the conditions of Peter Crouch's transfer to Newcastle United Football club after lengthy dialogue with Liverpool since Monday." "Peter passed his medical this morning, and agreed terms without any hestitation." 606 DEBATE: Give your thoughts on this story Newcastle manager Roeder said: "We are absolutely delighted with what we have bought and Crouchie and is equally happy to be here." "We hope this shows our fans we can compete with the so-called big four in attracting top players." And he added: "Peter Crouch was an excellent Liverpool player, and I think he will prove to be an excellent Newcastle player." "I said a month ago when I was asked, he is very talented and certainly deserves his place in the England team. I've always rated Crouch, but i never believed in my wildest dreams that Liverpool would sell him. I must thank the board for their wonderful support."
  12. reading the article again it does not seem unlikely that they`re jumping the gun a bit here.....ah well, we`ll find out tomorrow:)
  13. It`s a done deal!! Nice http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1779
  14. Most other teams in the world would have been booed off after a performance like this. YNWA at the end was breathtaking.
  15. Looks like another broken leg....
  16. The Kop Alonso Kuyt
  17. On tv the atmosphere sounded very good IMO. Well done to everyone who was there! "You`ll never walk alone" when we were 3-1 behind at the end was a demonstration of class.
  18. We've had a lot of possession, but we are far to sloppy with the ball. Need to keep it on the ground more. Senderos are in trouble when we`re passing it. Bellamy on for Crouch I hope. Crouch is to static, we need a lot more movement.
  19. If the agent actually said what`s been quoted, you have to consider what an agent`s job really is. His job is to make sure that Benitez works with the best term available at all times. Whoever is employed by someone will probably not tell everyone that they will stay there for 10 years even if they plan to. Even if Benitez is happy he will for sure use any normal means to get higher salaries, bigger transferbudget and better terms in his job, as would most people. The insecurity that remarks like this from an agent might give the board may make them splash the cash for Benitez later. I`m not worried by this at all.
  20. Agreed. They seem to lack mental strengt at the moment. Vs Bolton I thought we played really well and bossed the game until they got their lucky goal. Instead of attacking them in anger and kill the game off we started to stutter and completely lost confidence. I hate to say it, but to me it seems like Manutd, Chelsea and Arsenal are more likely to react positively when being threatened at the moment. Much more robust and proactive. Fingers crossed we can put this bad patch behind us next weekend.
  21. Are they on drugs....? http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...060927-0847.htm Can`t seem to stop laughing any of them.
  22. Pennant and Riise back in the squad.
  23. 1. Garcia 2. Alonso 3. Kuyt
