I've been told that, I don't remember it and I've not seen them play together. Let's say it's true, why didn't they click at Athletico ? One reason could be Torres was playing deeper that year ... still the question persists, if they played together why didn't they click?

Cant remember Torres and Aguero being together at Athletico, or maybe it's a case of them not playing well together ?

It's more about his not loving football. He's not like Carra' who loves football and this club. This means he doesn't care who he plays for. So he'll happily play for R Madrid who'll pay him more and indulge is love of owning bars.

That would depend on the opposition but generally I would HOPE for Mash, Alonso and Barry. The reason for Barry would be, if the opposition thought they could stop Gerrard by placing a man marker or a DM on him, then Gerrard could drop deeper becoming part of the midfield, pulling his man marker or DM with him and Barry could step up and link ( he does that for Villa), sure he wouldn't be as good but there would still be a link between midfield and the strikers.

I can see how that would happen with Keane or even if we had Rooney playing - both try to occupy what I call "the Gerrard Space" ( it's a new continuum ). But Eto'o is an out and out striker, who favors pulling out wide left. Therefore I can't see how a 4312 ( with attacking FB's) would not work. It would just mean Gerrard has the opp' to link up with 2 Similar strikers. I would mean the opposition having to mark 3 match winners and Alonso having 2 attacking FB's to hit with his ace passing.

would be amazing - Turan at times seems like a faster Reira, ( no bad thing). We could get Barry and Eto'o at virtually no cost ( sell Voronin, Dossena, and Babel ), that would leave us paying for Turan and probably still having money left over for a top class RW/RB .... sounds like a plan for an excellent summer.

He wasn't fit yet he risked furtherr injury by playing, that's just madness! Is the club properly covered when he's on international duty ? I remember we didnt get compensation when Redknapp got injured on international duty ( I think French players are the least insured)

He maybe a kind of idiot, but he's the sort of player we need against packed defenses. Getting rid of Yossi if fine on principle, but we need to replace him with someone more effective ..... who ? Yossi can play anyone of the 3 positions behind Torres - not many players WE CAN AFFORD can do that well

Well the press today has Rafa 'going overboard' about how he has a future here. I don't know if the rumours about the Bar and the work required are true, but it does make sense in the light of previous comments. Agger is reputed to have said, his contract is with the club not with Rafa.

with the ball at his feet! We have enough good passers in the team, what we need now is intelligent movement and the ability to beat people with the ball. Both Reira and Yossi have bits of the skill needed, but we need the total package, ie those skills in one person.

Interesting idea, the mind room is definately something Rafa would adopt ( once it's proven to work). What Rafa does is stop the play and get the players to notice where their team mates are, then he walks around with the ball and they are supposed to change their position to counter the new threat. The mind room looks like it works on a similar process, here the player gets to see what they did wrong and work out more successful strategies. Both provide a quicker way of learning to read the game than just experience
