So it had no effect while we were doing well and all of a sudden it has an impact negatively now that we lost form? Flaws in our team have existed before Jurgens annoucnement. Conceding goals first in matches has been a problem for almost 3 seasons. It was an issue all of last season, its been an issue in half of the games we've played in this year. We've overcome our flaws the best we could , up until recently but we couldnt sustain it for several reasons - players losing form - injured players not playing well post injury At one point we had Clark and Gomez in midfield, in a league match. We had more injuries than any other side and stayed in 4 competitions up intil mid March. The problem with our midfield has been patched but not completely resolved. This has been an issue for our defending for 2 years now A very good #6 is needed. Endo had a good run of form but hes a limited player. Macca adjusted eventually as a 6 but his strengths are best as an 8. Szoboslai started well for 3 months and has been average since, injury or not. He also isnt a midfielder but hes being played there Jones was fine up until his injury and hes struggling now. Harvey plays better off the bench than starting. Ryan has potential but has had injuries and not consistent in his performances. Thats way too many issues to deal with, in midfield, to win the league. Nunez cant finish, but at least he was setting up goals. However once his confidence dipped hes become a liability all together, since his injury. Salah has lost form completely since his injury. Jota is too fragile to be reliable.

Don't think that impacted our forwards not being able to finish their dinners, having injuries, and players looking like below average post injury, among other defensive issues that we've had. We're a flawed team.

Match Topic West Ham vs Liverpool - Premier League, 27th April @ 12:30pm

Don't know what to expect, anything is possible that's how erratic we are. I wouldn't play Szoboslai in midfield for the remainder of the season. His form is god awful, and overall he doesn't have the ability to be a midfielder on a consistent basis. He isn't really one, he's a wide player, and or a 10 at best, but right now I wouldn't have him anywhere near the midfield. His decision making on and off the ball is the same as Darwin's up front. Quansah, I'd have ahead of Konate who looks like nothing of the player he has been in his Liverpool career right now. Darwin's confidence is non existent, and I think the only reason he played tonight is because Jota/Gakpo were unavailable. If we defend set pieces like we did tonight, we'll lose. -
Pre injury he was fine, he was creating chances, and scoring in tandem. Post injury he looks like a shadow of himself.

No way he ends up at Barca, he's always said hes not coaching in a country where he doesnt speak the language. Xavi won the league and it still wasnt enough for them, it's not a fanbase that he'd connect with either. He deserves to go out on his own accord. Competing at this level, this intensity, being responsible for millions of things, being up against an Oil state, dealing with the s*** media, fixtures and god awful officiating, ultimately takes a toll. He's given us enough football memories for a lifetime, at least for me. Couldn't have asked for more.

Its not one single moment, its multiple factors happening in a short period of time. The fa cup game, the league game at OT, the home game against Atalanta followed by Palace. Add the players coming from injury being below par, you get what we are now.

We dont have the belief or confidence, regardless if others drop points. Our issues can't be fixed with a few games left to go. It's done -

Limping out in the end, very disappointing and sad we're finishing the season and Jurgen's reign here. They've all given up, whether they want to admit it or not. -

Our finishing and defending is what destroyed us. Young lads did well, but their absence has nothing to do with all of our forwards lacking confidence and not being able to finish, whilst our most talented defenders start playing poorly. -

Endos first touch when pressed is a problem, it's why I said I didnt want him in this game, because the nature of this game is detrimental to him. It's why he struggled against Palace, they targeted him which is what I said. I didn't say he was the reason we didn't win. That was your doing. Multiple things are true at once. He's not good when pressing, he dwells on the ball too much. I said this before the game, us not winning tonight has nothing to do with Endo not playing. -

Repeating that over and over again wont change his limitations when pressed. Its why he was targeted by Palace -

It's not idiotic, he takes too long on the ball in matches when he's being pressed more than usual. It's why he was turgid against Palace twice, and in other instances. The form he showed has gone out the window. -

Robertson the only one defending tonight which is why I didnt want him in todays game to begin with. Takes too long to settle on the ball -

The game doesnt need Endo at all, the midfield is fine, the finishing is our problem. And the defending, win a bloody header. -

I accepted this when we blew it against the Mancs a few weeks ago. This team hasn't looked confident in itself since the FA Cup game, and it's been worse since the league game there. -

We've created enough to score, so we aren't doing bad in that department. But our confidence in front of goal is completely gone, we aren't clinical and we're snatching at chances. Defensively, we've been terrible defending their set pieces.
