    If he gets his favoured midfield out there and plays with two at the base instead of 1 then Gerrard will occupy that space. If it's just one at the base and Gerrard and Allen pushing on then I think it will be more ineffective than otherwise. This is of course taking into account the opposition strength

    Yeah I saw it last week. he's ridiculous. He picks the right option for the finish everytime, has the ability to execute it and the magic to get himself into the goalscoring positions b y just running around everyone. Does anyone just think he's got good biorythms at the mo andeverything is just turning up Lionel. He's beyond natural.

    Maybe, maybe not. He did say year 1 we work on defence, year two on midfield and year three the attack when he took over. Although he did say in his first season before the home game v norwich that we were at home so would work on attcaking when he was asked about defence.
