Not buying that, plenty of teams win stuff and have great seasons without Luis Suarez in their team. Dont want him to go mind, he's the best in the world and you've seen with us and Spurs in the past how spending the money on replacements can go wrong but dont underestimate the manager. Afterall while Luis was good under Kenny he couldn't hit a barn door for 18 months, now he's a goal a game under Rodgers. Who knows what he can do with other players? Would rather not take that risk though obviously.

I might be being naive but I still dont see Barca coming up with a deal good enough to see us sell. Their press is already whining about the cost of a new centre back (Marquinhos, Benatia etc) If it was Real Madrid I'd be more worried, they have always been a little more out there on transfer fees, Barca spend s***loads too and have gone big on Neymar and Ibrahimovic but I'm not sure they'll go as big as we want, certainly not for a player who is maybe one incident away from a years ban or something.

Wouldnt be happy no, we'd be losing one of the best players in the world, (in my opinion the best this last year) and he's the sort we might never see again here in our lifetime, you'll get your Torres, Owen types etc but him? Maybe never again. It's not the worst deal in the world though, pretty decent and I dont think anyone could blame the club for accepting but it'd be hard to be happy about it.

You always seem to be underwhelmed. It's not that much anyway really, look at Herrera, Cuadrado hasnt done anymore at club level, Fiorentina want 50m euros, Benatia one brilliant season 45m euros. Its the way it is with massive tv deals and clubs like PSG, City etc.
