Spurs for 60 myself, but of course it also depends on how much you are likely to play and which team has impressed you the most..............
-
It is sort of depressing that we have been linked with a single player (I mean a real link) this summer, who we initially thought was an easy buy and we are move starting pre-season without a sniff of anyone............. The optimism curve for next season is in decline already and that shouldn't start until at least September.........
-
That is my biggest worry and, if so, it may well bite us on the bottom for far longer than they pursue that policy, assuming they realise its folly at some point in the future.... Financial prudence is one thing, but you need to be able to compete with other clubs if you want to finish in the top positions Starting to get REALLY worried about the owners ATM. Really hope I am worng and the next few weeks prove that.
-
Of course maybe you should go over and introduce yourself? You could start with "I am the only person on the Island that doesn't know you, who you are signing for and what you had for dinner....."
-
So are you real and they are fake, or are they real and you are fake, or is the player fake, or maybe................... Its too confusing for me now, I am off to tweat that Suarez is joining Man City on a free.................
-
Its a 50:50 call, although probably more like a 90:10 one now.... When he starts tweeting about the first players revolt at Spurs we will know its really true insider account.....or maybe not
-
We were told that ages ago by our Spurs ITK Wishing him all the best, but maybe slipping in that our Frank thought he was a bit useless, but he hopes he does all right............
-
Oh, he IS playing for a BIG club, us!!!!
-
I don't think they want rid personally, but then that is just a pure guess on my part. However, if they did want him out, then your assumption is based on us being a well run club with a strategy, a pulse for what is going on around us and some clever negotiators in the market..... Based on the current, publically available, information do you want to revise your statement?? Disclaimer - I will be more than happy to be proven wrong by FSG and am more than happy to support them, but at this moment in time I am worried by their ownership.
-
That is the way I feel about it to. Disappointed and worried about the way the club is going, but he is only one 22 year old player and if Spurs want to pay him silly money there is not a lot we can do.

I have posted this numerous times and its not about defending the price, but rather reminding us of the circumstances at the time. Our new owners had just come in, Kenny had just arrived, we were doing **** in the league and just about starting to recover from the horrendous situation we had been through. The Suarez transfer saga had dragged on, but he had finally signed and then the laughable rummours of Torres going to Chelsea came true right at the end of the market. There was not, realistically, time to try and get in any foreign replacement and who was available anyway?? The club moved and bought a young striker who had shown excellent form over the previous 12 to 18 months and was deemded to be a good buy for now and the future. His club at the time was open to the transfer, but sought the best deal possible. We, allegedly, linked the sale of Torres to the purchase of Carroll and as his price was forced up so was Torres price?? How much of that is true we will probably never know. Would we have let Torres go for £25mil if Carroll had cost £10mil, who knows?? But the situation inflated the price, more so than just simply Liverpool over paying. And as for, we should have signed x, y and z in the summer..... If Torres had left without us signing a replacement how many people on here would have been happy? Be honest.

Revenge for Brown trying to bankrupt their country??

Mjölnir you do realise that if he signs for Spurs that will make you a Spurs ITK. There is NOTHING worse that a Spurs ITK* For your own sanity you need to make him realise what a stupid mistake he would be making and how he would be ruining your life for his own selfish ends......... No pressure mind. *Apart from all Mancs, bitter blues........
-
Cheers Mjölnir Shame he is not coming, but good luck to him. Of course a big part of me hopes he regrets not siging for Liverpool, but that is in the hope we are far more successful than Spurs......

HA HA Skiing perhaps?? No oil money for Owen: UAE club say they have no interest in signing "on the downhill" striker From wonderkid to washed-up: Former England hero's slide into the wilderness gathers momentum as Arab minnows rate him past-it United Arab Emirates side Al-Shabab have dismissed reports that they are pursuing occasional footballer Michael Owen – delivering the withering assessment that the striker is “on the downhill”. Owen, 32, was released by Manchester United this month and it was reported that his agent was in talks with the UAE outfit about landing little Michael an oil-money fiesta as he approaches the autumn of his 'playing' career. However, Al-Shabab vice-president Khalid Bu Humaid has now stated that although “general talks” took place the UAE outfit had no interest in signing the former England wonderboy. "There have been some talks and his agent is coming to Shabab Club tonight but there is nothing to confirm with regard to him signing or not," Bu Humaid told Gulf News "This is a general talk with no obligations. When someone calls us we listen to what they have to say and see what they have to offer. "But this part of the world is not the market for Michael Owen anymore." Owen's Premier League profile took a dip last season, though there was a reported sighting of him coming on as a substitute in one game - or at least someone who looked like him. Bu Hamaid added: "Michael Owen is on the downhill right now. He's not one of our options. He's 32 and he only played a handful of matches last season. "We'll listen to what his agent has to say and report that back to the coach Marcos Paqueta, who is currently in Brazil." China beckons? -
Having sold out and only having billions to spend, probably with Rafa as boss........ Don;'t care how we get there (cheating aside) I want number 20 before ginsoak pops his clogs........
-
That is the worry. If its just the player not wanting to come because we are Liverpool and he hopes to play for the ****s one day then there is noting we can do. If its other reasons then we might need to start worrying
-
Sounds like a typical Manc **** now Note - I reserve the right to change this opinion if he does end up signing for us.
-
He is online, I have just checked, let me get some virtual tar mixed up............
-
Anyway haven't we got a lurker to lynch now.........
-
Because we are Liverpool and have ****ed everything up since Robinson left

It is probably what we don't realise. Just how much money they have spent clearing up the mess they inherited. Still it feels like we are no better off than we were 4 years ago and in an even worst footballing position. Sufddenly my optomistic hope for next year is starting to drain and its only June.......
