Would agree with you. I think last summer was Rafa's last "sorting out the squad" and next year money will go on a couple of first team players. Quality, not quantity for once. I reckon Alves is a done deal, but until he is at Anfield wearing a Liverpool shirt anything could happen.

I could actually see the point to this. Effectively make it no first team game this week and give the squad a full week to pull their fat over-paid heads out of their arses. Mean while the kids either show them how it should be done or gain expirence.

We are still only 6/8 points down on equivilient results for last year. I think it is not impossible for us to win the league, but it would take a huge change in form, luck and quite a few dropped points by the"other three" I read Fergie has yet to dismiss us saying we have an easy run-in and Rafa rotation policy should ensure all our players are fresh come the spring. The candle still burns, just. But we sure as hell need to improve.
