I thought he did okay in the first half, but fizzled out in the second. He's got a long way to go before justifying the £20M we paid for him. I think he'd be better on the left though. Not convinced at all with him on the right. -

Newcastle are a very well organised team, they're not the walkovers they used to be. Going to be a tough game this, especially at home!

They can't afford to keep the Football League show but they can afford to pay millionaires like Lineker, Hansen, Shearer etc. to give us their boring views on the games? Nice use of our license fee. How about MOTD get rid off the pundits and the 'analysis' and just give us extended highlights? That's what I want to see, football action not Hansen and co blabbering on and on.

Bit harsh on Bale. He was always destined to be a top player, had a great youth career and is blossoming into a great player. Lee Sharpe? Please, Bale is 10 times better.

We need to change our football philosophy altogether. We should adopt the Barcelona "tiki taka" style of football and bring in players like Messi and Xavi. Come on Commolli get to it you useless twit, what are we paying him for?

The biggest problem with Suarez is that there are few players in the team on his level. Put him in a better team and he'll be comparable to Aguero and Silva. At least with Gerrard back, and hopefully Bellamy and Maxi will get a few more games, this should bring more out of Suarez. Players like Adam, Downing, Henderson and Carroll do nothing whatsoever to enhance Luis and his influence on the team.

He didn't do anything that isn't of the minimum requirement, i.e. putting in effort and running around a lot. He did nothing else, against one of the worst teams we've faced in years. Same goes for most of the midfield/attack. The only positive to come out of this match was the return of Gerrard, and he looked pretty good out there too.

I don't believe it, I really don't. 'Keeper saves them in the last min and also a goal line clearance. Another home draw to a s*** team. We've become really good at getting these sort of results at 'Fortress Anfield'.
