Stoke have been in decent form, and are exactly the sort of team we've struggled to beat at home in the league. Still, I think we'll win. Gonna be tight though.

I don't think it's fair to judge AC on last nights game. We were barely out of our own half in the 2nd half, so he couldn't do a great deal as the entire team were content to simply defend.

Kewell was on a totally different level. Kewell was world class at some point in his career (albeit for a brief time). Downing has always been average, nothing more. -
Might be exaggerating slightly but I think Spearing's injury was the main reason we were under the cosh in the 2nd half vs City. When he was on the pitch we were absolutely battering them. As soon as he goes off City started getting into the game. When he went off injured we had no holding midfielders and City started controlling the game. Goes to show how valuable players like Spearing and Lucas are.

What was wrong with Johnson's challenge? He won the ball cleanly, didn't even touch the player. Who gives a s*** if its 2 footed or not? That's such a dumb argument

Fantastic result. Not a good performance in the 2nd half but we defended really well.

We've been poor in this half, I don't know why we've shown them so much respect. If they had Silva and Toure playing I can understand us playing more defensive. But they've got a midifeld of Barry, Milner, and De Jong. But would be happy if we hang on for the win.

Same thing happened when Adam came on for the injured Lucas vs Chelsea. Adam is not a holding midfielder and we look more flimsy when he's on without a holding midfielder besides him.

As much as I'd love this to be true, it simply won't happen. Newcastle snatched our hands off when we stupidly offered them £35M for him. Demba Ba is doing the business for them so what use would they have for Carroll? We're stuck with him I'm afraid.
