If the ref thought it a penalty he'd have given it, i'd imagine. I didn't see a replay of it but it didn't look like a pen first time around. Fact is we should have buried that team, forget the penalty or offside goals we dominated the match, had stacks of chances and missed them. It happens in football - we've seen it plenty of times - last seasons FA Cup Final, us v a*** in 2001 Cup Final....... You don't always get what you deserve in a one off match. Hey ho - we move on.

i still think they can - the problem is it puts more onus on Stevie to be the more defensive of the 2 cos Lampard's defensive skills aren't all that. That in turn negates much of what Stevie can bring to the party, which in turn gives AmpLard more of the plaudits as he does more attacking & scores more goals, which in turn pisses off many a red as we know Gerrard is the better all-round midfielder.

that's fair enough both of them piss on Scholes' 14 in 66 games(inc 2 as sub), btw. i think all were/are good players.
