Mondavi Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 For anyone who hasn't come across it yet. Channel 442 on Sky, Series Link available. You've gotta love Sky Plus....... Showed my 1st ever game at Anfield the other day, the 7-0 vs Spurs in September 78. At least I think that was my 1st game - it was either that or Emlyn's testimonial against Borussia Moenchengladbach, but not sure of the date of that. Was defo 1st league game and 1st day time game though. Next week is the goodison derby from 1990. weds at 6pm, repeated loads.
Crazy Horse Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 I'm getting a Codec error message. How do I fix that so I can see the thing? Can anyone suggest a Codec download site?
Guest Red Mist Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Download ffdshow, should sort out most codec-related problems. Alternatively download VLC player, plays just about anything. Er, how do you download this thing? You wait 45 seconds, then what? Do you have to be a registered member with them or something? Never mind, f***ing ad got in the way of the download option.
Guest Red Mist Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I just watched this documentary, and while it was pretty good, I have to ask - why no mention of Heysel? They totally glossed over that entire season, the final against Juve, the death of the Juve supporters, Fagan leaving etc. They mentioned us being exiled from Europe but no explanation as to why! Totally bizarre.

Jay M Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I watched the European Cup Quarter final 2nd leg vs St. Etienne for the first time. Looked amazing to be there. Not sure if it's on one of those downloads.

Mondavi Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Emlyn's testimonial was on 27th March 1979 Cheers Will - never been able to find details on the web, and dont collect programmes. Good to know that 7-0 was definitely my first to be honest - although still can picture now the moment when the young, little round fella came on as sub that night in emlyn's testimonial. I would only have been 8, but can remember the reaction of the crowd when Sammy Lee came on - it was almost surprise that someone with that physique was a footballer (in a nice way or course )
