Good to see Phillip Seymour Hoffman get an award. He's one of my favourite actors - have yet to see him do a s**** film.

He was great in Boogie nights and Love Liza (a film where his wife is dead and he becomes addicted to pertrol and fakes an interest in model planes to cover it up)

I've liked Phillip Seymour Hoffman since Scent Of A Woman and he deserved his BAFTA. By far the best male performance out of those nominated.

Although i think Crash is an excellent film i was surprised that Thandie Newton won Best Supporting Actress.

It's cos she's hot as f*ck

ah come on, there is always at least one cringe-worthy, jingositic, flag-waving, let's-show-those-jumped-up-Ameicans-who's-boss, token British winner. Its a BAFTA tradition.

and yes, she did look quite spectacular as well.

Why does Ralph (sorry, Raif) Fiennes always look on the verge of tears? Man up.

the dewy-eye quotient was reaching saturation point last night. never seen so many sincere upward glances of heartfelt sympathy and admiration. :barfsmiley:

True, although she could do with putting a few pounds back on. Those cheekbones are going to break through any day now.
