Ciise was sh*t, but let's not forget he was one of our better performers midweek.

The 'hardworking' Morientes, on the other hand, had about his 12th consecutive shocker. Please someone spare me tales of a couple of canny flicks, and closing down defenders. He has had a terrible season overall. Worse actually than the sh*tty 'acclimatising' 6 months he gave us last year.

Yes he's a legend of a player, and a blind man can see he has class, but for Liverpool football club he has been a very very poor buy.

sadly, I agree with that. Fowler looked like he's still got it though. A bit of fitness & sharpening up by playing games & he's gonna cruise past Dalglish.

It was fookin wonderful to see him in red again

Cisse was a lazy w.anker out there but I'm not sure why Gerrard should be pointing at anyone right now. I put it down to him not being fit but his passing and lack of effort in winning the ball back was fecking annoying me. I think he won the ball back once even though he kept on giving the ball away.

I hope you're f***ing joking. he missed midweek because he physically couldnt play, then today he has an injection to play cos we needed him, tries his heart out, granted he wasn't at his best but was still very effective. I dont know what people expect sometimes, f***ing miracles???

I know he's your mate Elisha and you have the benefit of more knowledge than us but how the hell would the majority of supporters know that he had an injection?

All I saw today was him looking unfit and giving the ball away a lot because of it.

I felt sorry for him because he was putting a lot of effort in but physically couldn't do it.

Why did Rafa leave him on when he obviously wasn't able?

I don't disagree with starting him - opposition teams are more confident about playing us when he's not on the teamsheet, but we didn't need him to play that long. Warnock could have come on and we could have pushed Kewell up top.

You might not have known about an injection, but you weren't exactly slow in caning him were you? His lack of effort was annoying you!!!

He is a lazy showboating c*** isnt he?

That's hardly a caning is it? It was annoying me because if there are fitter players on the bench who can fill a gap for the last 15 minutes, why not bring them on and spare Stevie for Tuesday?

You'd of moaned like f*** if he came off and then they scored a goal just like you did when we brought Kromkamp on at Old Trafford.

Coz we were looking poor with only a goal's cushion & throwing that away would have f***ed our confidence

And how are we to know that leaving Stevie on wouldn't have resulted in a goal being conceded?

How is that even comparable? Kromkamp was the man who made the mistake...anyone who is on the pitch is on the pitch to do a job - if that can't do that job then maybe, just maybe, a little bit of criticism shouldn't be jumped on like it's some sort of personal attack. Wind it in.

The fans never knew about the injection. But we did know he missed the midweek game and was doubtful for today. So he obviously wasnt 100% fit. PThought he had a pretty decent game today. Was trying hard right to the end.

Yup, I think everyone could tell he wasn't 100%. So why leave him on that long when there were players available to come on?

I may be alone on this, but an 85 per cent Steven Gerrard is a better option than bringing Sissoko on 100 per cent fit

Your post after that game was the most pathetic posts ive ever read on here, along the lines of he's as bad as Josemi based on about 15minutes play over 3 sub appearances. You moan either way.

Because he's our best player?

If you say so. Sissoko, a player who runs more than any other player in a squad, brilliantly at closing down the opposition, is worse than a tired and injured Stevie G when we are defending for our lives?

Don't get this whole debate, even though he was obviously not at 100% today he was still one of our better players and one of the few who looked like creating anything.

Though he clearly had mitigating circumstances I thought he was really off colour and had probably his worst game for the club all season. But i'd still have kept him on rather than bringing Sissoko on

Both he and Alonso need to find their radars for Arsenal as they wont be as merciful as the Wigan midfield

Definately, the only thing wrong with his game today was a few woeful crosses.

Whatever, mate. You delude yourself if you want. I'm not that bothered about Gerrard's performance today, but it's b******s comments like that which are just silly.

Yet you'd play him for 90 minutes when he's injured.

Don't. The logic is unfathomable.

 Yet you've been moaning non stop about it.

What do we expect though from someone who's mind was made up on Kromkamp based on around 3 sub appearances of about 5mins each.

Hardly. Responding to rose-tinted pap more like.

If you really think all he struggled with was his crossing then you weren't watching.

And if you want to bother going back to the Kromkamp discussion, my comments were based on what I'd seen - what else could I base them on? I then praised the guy in a thread following another match because he had played well...big surprise.

Erm actually wait until he'd actually had a proper game or 3 or 4? Well thats what most normal people would do and even then it isnt enough to judge but you judged him as bad as Josemi based on 3 tiny sub apps. Needless to say you changed your tune after your stupid comment the next week when he played well at Pompey. What next Carra is the next Titus Bramble the next time he makes a mistake?

Hehe, if you want to hide behind that and not answer my other comments then fine. I wasn't consigning Kromkamp to the scrap heap at all, and I certainly expected him to improve. He has done, although I think he's a more natural full back than a midfielder. Seems to benefit from being able to run onto the ball from deep.

He made a bad mistake against Man U at a crucial stage which cost us the game. That's a fact.

If you think I don't want him to be superb for us then you're just being petty. You're exaggerating the original context to make yourself look clever, when you're not. If Carra makes a stupid mistake, that doesn't make him a poor player - it means he made a stupid mistake and there's no harm in pointing it out.

You seem to have a few issues with discussing things that you don't agree with.
