Welcome David Martin

I think he will be a good signing for the club. His Uncle Dave, who he is named after was my best mate growing up and I know the Martin family well. His Grandad Albert will be be pleased to have someone in the family to cheer wearing his favourite Liverpool Red for a change. Good Luck to you Lad!

Didn't they used to live off Marsh lane just by the Borough? Heman Street I think.

They may have done. They moved to the Ford area when Alvin was about 9 or so. I seem to remember they lived down by the North Park close to the Bootle Odeon. I've been in the States 20 odd years so my recollection of Streets and Alehouses isn't what it used to be.

I think he wants to go on loan, and may well be allowed too I guess.

Don't forget we've still got Kirkland on our books. 3 future England keepers.......is this a record ?

His family followed mine pretty much, left Marsh Lane and live by the Cabbage (Ford).

Kirkland can't currently get a game at the Baggies. Be hard to get a proper fee out of him.

Cos he's injured I believe.
