Swan Red Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Mary O'Rourke has been chastised for saying of her workforce that "they worked like blacks" I know this was supposed to be a compliment but is it really any different from Prince Phillip saying that a fuse box looked like it had been put together by an Indian. More worryingly she has failed to apologise suggesting that as it was meant as a compliment she has done nothing wrong. Is age and ignorance an excuse can mere sayings be left unchallenged and can she be so stupid as to fail to apologise thus prolonging the debate? Or am I wrong and is what she said ok?
