I know I am well behind the times here but I recently got the box sets of the first few series and they are absolutly brillient, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld are true comedy geniuses!

 

The extras on the dvds are also the best I have seen.

You have to get Curb Your Enthusiasm. Though Seinfled is brilliant, it is made for a very commercial audience, so lacks that little edge to it which would really appeal to a British audience.

 

Curb on the other hand has that edge and it is awesome.

 

By the way, I don't know if you've seen the one with Crazy Joe DiVolo in it. I sat next to him on a flight from NY to LA a few years back. He really did seem like he was crazy.

On the other hand, the fact that CYE is improvised means thatn, while it is still brillaint, it does lack some of Seinfelds fantastic lines.

 

I love both. Prob just prefer Seinfeld, though.

 

The Seinfeld DVD's are probably the best packaged ones you'll get on the market. Class.

I have got the first series of Curb Your Enthusiasm, havn't watched it yet but will do soon, apparantly Larry David named the show CYE for all the Seinfeld fans who he feared were expecting too much from the new show!
