Yeah I think that's what he was talking about when he was saying we needed to be more brave in the transfer market. Towards the end we weren't buying players who weren't guaranteed successes. Any squad needs some bargains though and you're going to have a few that won't work out in there

Holding on to older squad players for too long was an issue but a few years ago we had Hendo, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Salah, Robbo, Thiago, Milner, Bobby, Sadio...we should have half a dozen lads approaching their peak who schooled under that lot 

PSR is a negative factor there but Edwards, Hughes and others have wasted one of the greatest opportunities in league history

They might be great people but what the f*** are Endo and Chiesa ( still )doing here ?

We've also held on to players like the Ox and Gomes for too long as well.

Yep. Except for Luis Diaz and Mane, we only really looked at succession plans after it became an outstanding issue in the team.
