Much of interest to do there?

 

Thinking of going to a wedding there - not sure how long to hang around after the event. I've asked the bride and she says it's great and there's load to do ... but she's from Texas, so I take everything she says with a pinch of salt.

Visit the space centre. Eat a steak. Visit a ranch. Visit the museum of natural science.

There's a few companies that we work with that have a base out there.

 

It's got a truck load of lap dancing joints apparently.

 

So it's massive steaks and lapping.

Go downtown, it' s pretty good. The zoo is worth visiting as is the college campus. The Space Center is great, but takes up a whole day. Plenty of great eateries all over town.

 

If you want electronic bargains, find a Fry's store. Head down to Galveston for some seaside fun.

It's an absolutely gigantic city mate. The port is incredible there as are all of the refineries. That's not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it.

 

Steaks are good, but not of Chicago standard.

 

Avoid the strip joints. They are run by criminals in cahoots with the cops.

 

It is shockingly hot there in the summer too.
