it was a cicada as big as my fist and when flying it made a noise like a helicopter. thing was f***ing mental.

Anything that lies dormant in the ground for 10+ years before coming to life is bound to be mental. Don't like them at all. Was living on the East Coast during one of their waking cycles. I"m pretty sure they're trying to wipe out humanity, so we should per-emptively strike and destroy them all.

Just get a cat, or 3. Ours love to go up the trees and eat the cicadas as they rest during the day.

This years "plague" around here is hummingbird moths

Luckily, the cats also enjoy eating these things as well.

Cicadas are apparently quite tasty.

Can't quite get my head around eating insects but it's not that far from prawns or lobster.

oh i've eaten them. and eat termites quite regularly. deep fried and with enough sugar and chili they're really tasty.

I will probably give it a go one day.

I like that old bit of trivia that for every human on the planet, there are about 500kg of termites.

Did I or did I f*cking not post this clip already?

Jesus.

You did! But your entire post is showing as a big blank white space on my tablet, if I click on the middle of your post I get audio only, no video, no idea if that's my tablet with the issue or your post.
