anyone flown Easyjet recently?

flying from liverpool next week, anyone had any experience of them recently? does their one cabin bag mean literally one cabin bag or can you get away with a rucksack in the overhead thing and a small shoulder bag for your laptop etc?

I believe laptop bags count as a bag so its a no for having a cabin bag and laptop bag but am happy to be proved wrong

that's what i'm thinking mate. budget airlines i've used in asia all give you leeway of an overhead bag plus a handbag/shoulder bag you keep on your lap or under the seat. have a hunch UK airlines won't be so generous.

Depends where you're flying from - flew from Luton and they insisted the laptop bag was my one piece of hand luggage and made me pay to check my small suitcase in. Flew back from Amsterdam and no problems with either. According to the Easyjet customer services team it comes down to airport as opposed to airline policy. Sounds like b******s to me but worth dropping them a line or a tweet to check.

Easyjet is fine - best of the budget airlines in my experience, especially now they have allocated seating.

I flew Norwegian recently - they're moving in on quite a few European routes to provide competition to Ryanair and Easyjet.

 

They were good. Decent prices and noticeably more legrooom.

G/f flew back last night from Spain with a small overnight bag and handbag and was told that it counts as two, not like it was one of those tardis type handbags either.

yeah am coming round to them doing the rule with a rod of iron thing. even their measurements for your cabin bag are smaller than the usual airline ones i think. ho hum.

Oh nearly forgot, her boss suffered the same problem (overnight/handbag) although for her that was just the start as after boarding she couldn't find any overhead storage and was told her bag would have to go in the hold, delaying the flight by 30mins!! It was a small/medium sized rucksack which could have easily gone under the seat in front but oh no.

if you can take the laptop out of the bag, and somehow squeeze the shoulder bag into the rucksack , while carrying the laptop in your other hand, you should be ok

 

that's what I did last time (The Check-in desk girl advised me) , once you're on the plane you can put the laptop bag in your bag

I will genuinely empty the bag and put on all my clothing if it comes to that.

We went to Barcelona on Ryanair the week before last and they said one cabin bag plus a small handbag. I interpreted that as my rucksack plus my camera bag. Wasn't challeneged on that at either end. That's not easyjet though so don't know how relevant it is.
