I didn't see that. Someone was staring Bolt down?

Rogers. He started quickly and was leading Bolt until the last 20 yards. As Bolt drew alongside, Rogers just started staring at him and then followed him as Bolt celebrated. Bolt was posing for the crowd and photos and Rogers jogged up and stared at him some more.

Yeah, but the distance is in metres, not yards.

But Earl referenced something that happened in the last 20 yards, which has nothing to do with the distance over which the race is run.

He could just as easily say 'in the last 2 seconds' which would be just as valid.

Johnson-Thompson PB in the Heptathlon Long Jump, up to 5th now and only about 30 points off silver.

Doesn't throw the jaevlin well though so will drop down after the next event. Not sure what her 800 is like.

That strange Robbie Grabbarz fella is into the High Jump final as best qualifier.

PB in the javelin, but she's in group B.

Good girl.

What distance did she do?

All about limiting her losses here...she's one of the worst in the field in javelin.

Just seen....40 metres....that is great, she's still 5th.

About 40 points off bronze and her 800m PB is 5 seconds better than the girls in 4th and 3rd...

Quick google suggests beating them by 2 secs should get the necessary points. Any scousers won world athletics medals before? Can't think of many who may have been in contention - Geoff Smith, Bill Hartley & Curtis Robb maybe. Not had that many international athletes come to think of it.... Diane Allahgreen, Ikem Billy... anyone?
