Seeing as this old topic is closed, I have to start a new one.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for good podcasts, football or otherwise? These are the ones I'm usually listening to, but it seems like I'm running out of podcasts at the moment.

Football Weekly

YNWA

BBC Football Daily

BBC World Football Phone In

I don't much like the Football Ramble and the Times Podcast doesn't work for me either, as I use direct rss-links instead of i-Tunes and on the other hand don't want to pay anything.

So all suggestions welcome :)

WNYC's Radiolab

This American Life

Love+Radio

Snap Judgement

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History

99% Invisible

Episode of the Week

Skeptoid

And depending on how you feel about Kevin Smith, then a selection of the shows on his Smodcast network. My favourites being

Smodcast*

Hollywood Babble-on

Tell em Steve Dave*

Smoviemakers

Film School Friday

Smoviola

Fatman on Batman

The Secret Stash

* You'll want to start from episode one with these

love it.

been saying for years there should be a radio show like that.

They've got some very good people very quickly

They aren't natural presenters like, but they are very knowledgeable and seem like good lads too (only met Brian very briefly)

Have you heard the Narada Michael Walden one? I need him in my life

NPR have a load of good ones, especially All Songs Considered

Was gonna say this. Kermode & Mayo's film reviews is good as well

Radio 4's Comedy Of The Week and Friday Night Comedy are also good

Here's The Thing

Alec Baldwin in conversation with various well known people. Very good, always interesting to hear how relaxed they are with someone they see as a contemporary.

Defo sensed that with the one with Letterman, who's certainly not known for being open.

Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre podcasts. The last series had a few great ones with Stewart Lee, Charlie Higson, Charlie Brooker and an Armando Iannucci/Graham Linehan double bill. He's doing some more in the next few weeks I think, starting with Peter Serafinowicz.

A number of the Edinburgh ones are quite good too. The guests are not as well known and some of the 5 minute stand-up slots can be painful listening but they are worth a try.

Robin Ince & Josie Long's 'Utter Shambles' can be excellent.
