I'm not really sure what the purpose of a meeting would be. Anything that he tells SOS would be limited to the same stuff he's willing to say - or has already said in public. If SOS are saying they have a responsibility to their members and to fans, they can't expect Broughton to give confidential information, as it clearly wouldn't remain confidential.

 

"the views of our members specifically can best be represented by honest, face-to-face dialogue between interested parties " - I would hope that any prospective buyer would have some idea of where it has all gone wrong for Gillett and Hicks (in terms of their dishonesty etc), but surely the views of members are fairly straight-forward and don't even need to be expressed in a face to face meeting - we want a financially stable club, financial support for the manager, a new stadium, and honest owners...

 

And clearly regardless of what we and SOS would like, there are going to be severe limits on how transparent the club can and will be when searching for new owners.
