Excel question ={sum($a$1:$ZZ$2750)}

OK, my turn to ask an excel question.....

 

 

I have a big spreadsheet of employee data. It's 75+ columns containing about 5000 records (people). I have some key factors in there on which i wish to summarise averages. So I need to get to average salary, bonus, service and age by grade

 

I could do it using sort and copying the info out but I am hoping there's a whizzy way to do this as I have about 15 grades to do (and a dozen more country spreadsheets to do). I am thinking it's a pivot table but am struggling to make that work

 

Any thoughts?
