Chelsea transfer ban is suspended

Kakuta, 18, joined Chelsea from French side Lens in 2007

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) has granted Chelsea's request for their Fifa transfer ban to be suspended pending a final decision.

Fifa had ruled the club could not sign players until 2011 after inducing Gael Kakuta to break his Lens contract.

But Chelsea appealed to Cas, which said on Friday: "Such sanctions are now stayed until the Cas renders its final decision in this matter."

The decision means Chelsea will be able to sign players in January.

No surprise. f***in corrupt.

Cue £100m being spent in January to tide them over, thereby stunting the development of any youngsters they have broken rules to sign and leaving a load more footballers sitting on the bench picking wages up.

Stupid ruling if they couldn't make it stick, its no punishment now they know it's coming.

Thet will go out and spend in January. The upside to this is selling clubs will know that these plastic fvckers are desperate, and will grossly inflate prices, robbing the Russian people of what is rightly theirs.

Hope this backfires on them, they spend loads of money on non-cup-tied s**** in January and the ban then gets increased because they appealed against it.

Wishful thinking, I know.
