Ruptured Achilles

Managed to do this last night playing football. Retirement beckons, I feel.

 

Anyone else had this injury?

 

Currently in plaster, surgery probably early next week.

 

Has always thought that this was meant to be one of the most painful injuries, but realy didn't hurt all that much. Just felt like a kick at the bottom of the calf really.

 

What is the recovery time-frame for this?
