1st up was 'last chance to see' with Stephen Fry and a zoologist retrace the steps of Douglas Adams who made a simmilar journey to see endangered species 20 years ago. It was a whole episode about the Manatee and I didn't feel there was enough to hold interest. Its a remarkable animal but there didn't seem to be enough to say about it. It swims, its endangered and it grazes like a cow. Stephen Fry is great but i'm not sure he offered any new insight into the Manatee.

But last night there was a very different wildlife programme Lost Land of the volcano

There was another series like this a year or two back where scientists, wildlife cameramen and climbers go into almost unexplored places to look for new species of animal. Did anyone see it ? I found it gripping. There was a real sense of adventure in camping in such a remote jungle.
