He's really come on as a RB IMO, hope he stays. (I've heard rumor he wants to return to Spain). We need decent back up

Watching the game today I was thinking what a fantastic signing he has turned out to be. IIRC Rafa signed him because Lucas Neill decided to join West Ham. Thanks Lucas - we owe you one.

 

We need another quality RB to keep him on his toes, though, and hopefully Darby will make the step up; Degen I've given up on ages ago as he seems beyond repair.

Think him and Sagna are the best all round right fullbacks in the league. He has the perfect balance between defence and attack and its very difficult to find someone as good as that. 3 million euros and we let the first option on that young spaniard go, turned out to be so cheap.

If Insua and him can stay on the full back slots for us, theres no reason why we can't get more quality into the box from the wide areas. He has come on in leaps and bounds this season, hope Darby can stake a claim for that 2nd choice slot though.
