what do you do if your accountant has robbed you?

any accountants on here? our accountant is refusing to pay back money received by him from the revenue, that is actually due to us

 

what do I do? hired goons are a last resort only

 

what I want to know is if anyone knows any quick redress

eg, if this was a solicitor, it would be a case of complaining to the law society who take complaints seriously and then if that solicitor wanted to remain a solicitor he would pay back the money immediately

 

obviously he belongs to a professional body but does anyone know if the procedure is likely to be effective quickly?

 

he's an FCA (that's for sure) Chartered accountant
