im watching the ressies now. even a two yard pass he plays behind the player. he just gives it straight back to where ever it came from, contributing zero. he just makes up numbers.

every week the same thing, you can guarantee it,.

He's better than Spearing.

Damning with faint praise etc.

i used to think that, but he isn't nearly as good as spearing as it turns out.

damning with faint praise back at ya etc.

Every decent pass Spearing makes is followed/preceded by two equally dreadful ones.

Plessis has marginally more chance of making it here. Spearing has none whatsoever.

when was the last time a youth team player stepped up and actually made the grade..consistently for us?

Gerrard and Carra are the only ones i can think of....thats a long, long time

And this includes not just homegrown, but those who have brought in via this country or abroad....

Insua...maybe out of all has the best shot at getting a regular first team spot..

Anyone wanna stick their neck out and believe that there is another on our books, who will actually make the grade at anfield??.........

Darby might make the grade or at least be a solid backup.

El Zhar might as well.

Martin Kelly, if he doesn't get restless and want ( demand) first team action. Will probably go on loan first. But central defenders usually take longer.

the reserve team is odd at the minute. they are playing like the result counts for nothing

Well except for last Tuesday to be fair they rarely if ever get a look in at first team level.

Nemeth and Pancheco might, Delle Valle has a good chance. the rest might make a career out of football, but i'd be stunned if it was at Liverpool

is it any wonder? have you watched them? Plessis is their best midfielder by miles. putting someone in the first team because they are young and scouse isnt the way forward. if they were good enough they would get a game. even the ones who go on loan havent exactly set the world alight playing in the lower leagues. the talent will really shine through at that level, the ones who make it will be head and shoulders above the rest, and no one is really standing out at the minute. we might get a few squad players out it, but thats it

Pacheco looked ok but the rest were poor. Brouwer can f*** off the sh8thouse c*nt

Nice to see the U18's get stuffed by Man U after as well

that non header he did...jeez.

did you watch it tonight? pacheco and spearing were all we had. its been like that pretty much all season.

I did.

And I stand by my point that Spearing's passing is woefully inconsistent and Plessis is the better player.

you're wrong.

I've said for a couple of years now Plessis' passing is nowhere near good enough to ever be considered a first teamer here. Spearing won't be either but is the better of the two in my opinion.

I don't think I've seen another Liverpool player who makes his one footedness so painfully obvious. If he ever gets the ball on his right foot, even when a short pass is on, he has to turn his whole body to the left, transfer the ball, position his instep like a golf putter and then pass it straight to the opponents who've been watching his oil tanker-like progress with keen anticipation. He was promising last season but his attitude this season stinks. Spearing doesn't look to be playing as forward as he'd like, but he's still working hard and is one of the few players who thinks relatively quickly. Darby, I think, is the one player who is maturing pretty encouragingly.
