Tobes Rafa Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 (edited) I watched the 2 hour documentary on Blackadder last night which I had Sky+d from G.O.L.D and it reminded me what a truly fantastic show it really was when compared to the Peter Kay chuff. I used to have all the vids and watched them over and over again but I was always "under the influence" for want of a better phrase so I was interested to see if it was still as funny as I remembered. Not disappointed - laughed my ballc***s off on numberous occasions but was also moved by the final scenes of Series 4 when they go "over the top" to certain death. Series 4 was definitely my favourite, although they were all good (except maybe series 1) Going to look for the DVD box set now. Blackadder is informed that a German spy is stealing battle plans General Melchett: You look surprised, Blackadder. Captain Blackadder: I certainly am, sir. I didn't realise we had any battle plans. General Melchett: Well, of course we have! How else do you think the battles are directed? Captain Blackadder: Our battles are directed, sir? General Melchett: Well, of course they are, Blackadder, directed according to the Grand Plan. Captain Blackadder: Would that be the plan to continue with total slaughter until everyone's dead except Field Marshal Haig, Lady Haig and their tortoise, Alan? General Melchett: Great Scott! Even you know it! Seeing Hugh Laurie play Prince Regent after watching five series' of House was funny. Edited October 13, 2008 by Rikster
