Open Office

Anyone swapped from/between Open Office and MS Office?

 

Any good bits/ bad bits you could share with me? Is it is seamless as they suggest?

(I ask as FiL had a problem with his PC and all his MS Office codes have been lost and so it won't open. Full registered version of 2003 and despite buying software to help retrieve it, he can't and all Microsoft seem to say is... "open and Office application and...)
