Today, I have been warming my ears with the following:

Gabrielle Cilme - not a bad pop album. Not great, but very easy on the ear. Could have done without the cover of Echo Beach, mind

The Offspring - impressed that bringing in Bob Rock to produce the new album didn't result in a Black Album-type charge into the mainstream

Alice Cooper - the best of his 'sober years' output I would say. Can easily sit along side his classic 70s stuff

Beck - not a huge fan, but I wasn't reaching for the skip button so either he's done something right or I wasn't relly listening

CSS - more polished and focused than the debut, but to me this has actually improved things. Pretty sure that won't the a popular opinion

Crystal Castles - OK, was expecting something more akin to the Ting Tings, but once I got over that shock I was bloody impressed

Fighting With Wire - debut album has finally been released and it's well worth the wait. Heavy guitars, great choruses and songs that stick in your head

Motorhead - best of the lot. As with Cooper, the best of their recent output (the last couple of albums were damn good as well)

Pretty sure there's more stuff to come as well, once I've chilled out with Fleet Foxes
