Guest Anders Honoré Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Didn't see the game - how did he do at the weekend?
anfield11 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 6/10 Yeh, I'd say that is about right. P.S. Go Barca
Old red eyes Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Had a bad game IMO. Looked like he couldn't wait to get rid of the ball. Hope he proves me wrong but i wasn't impressed with him. Insua on the other hand looked the biz.
Hieronymus Bosch Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 He had a poor one. As I'd imagine Traore in centre mid.

Old red eyes Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 In the same way Plessis looked 'the biz' after the Arsenal game? Nope. In a more assured way. Insua looked a lot more assured whilst on the ball IMO. Against arsenal Plessis looked decent, but it was a weird game all round due to the two games either side of it. I know who my money would be on to make the first team on a more regular basis.
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 He had a poor one. As I'd imagine Traore in centre mid. Or Sissoko....
MFletcher Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Plessis wasn't assured on the ball v Arsenal? Did you actually watch the game? His passing was impeccable.
Old red eyes Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Plessis wasn't assured on the ball v Arsenal? Did you actually watch the game? His passing was impeccable. I watched it. His passing was simple. He had a decent game but nothing worthy of going OTT about. Insua on the other hand came on into a game where we were 2-0 behind and played beyond his years. OK, he might have a shocker in his next game, but i doubt it. He looked comfortable on the ball and was always eager to get forward whilst not neglecting his defensive duties.
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 To be fair Insua didn't have any defensive duties when he came on, Birmingham had stopped attacking at that point!
Old red eyes Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 To be fair Insua didn't have any defensive duties when he came on, Birmingham had stopped attacking at that point! Not totally. I can remember at least two times when Insua had to defend and he didn't dissapoint. Like i have said, i know which player out of the two i believe has the better chance of making it.
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Bit early to be judging either player on the little time they've played in the 1st team, but Insua does look a talent alright.

But insua looks more assured on the ball. I'm sure we will see more of the lad next season. He'll probably be back up to whoever Rafa brings in at LB imo.
Guest Beano's Dad Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 And these guys have played in two games away from home v players very much at home and with the experience. Probably dealt with it better than many expensive new signings have in the past.
Maldini Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Please don't feed the animals. Plessis did ok on Saturday. He was poor in possession but broke up the play well when he had to.
floyd Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 and also got better as the game went on. Do people want an to give people time, or want Souness straight away?? A 20 & 21 year old did well in centre midfield against some proffesionals with relegation hammered at them from McCleish.

Speaking of animals, get off your high horse. He was poor. He's a kid. There's nothing wrong with saying that. You always have to be holier than thou.

Kite Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Poor is going a bit far he didn't do much wrong.Thought the same. Hit a few wayward passes but otherwise did his job well enough and was very effective breaking up play. Don't know what match some of the people on here or the match thread saw really.
